Who We Are

Built by People Who’ve Lived It

Release is a nationally recognized, New York-based behavioral healthcare
community offering safe, private, and confidential support for substance
use and mental health. Founded by a leader with lived experience in
long-term recovery, we are committed to breaking the stigma around
addiction, and mental health disorders.

Since our start in 2017, our outcomes speak for themselves. We’ve
witnessed hundreds of stories of recovery. We know this work changes
lives, not just for the people we treat but the communities that
surround them. Our team is a strong mix of licensed clinicians,
experienced operators and individuals who have gone through their
own struggles and come out on the other side.

We combine clinical expertise with real-world understanding, strong community,
and an environment built for sustainable change. Whether you’re seeking
support for yourself or someone you love, you’ll find a team that listens,

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides intensive, structured treatment, creating a balanced and flexible environment for those on their path to recovery. This program is ideal for clients who need more support than outpatient services can offer, but do not require 24/7 residential care.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our Intensive Outpatient Program provides structured clinical care in a flexible format. The 12-week curriculum covers emotional regulation, self-awareness, relapse prevention, boundaries, and other essential tools for recovery and daily life.

Evening Intensive Outpatient Program

Designed for working professionals or individuals in need of even more flexibility, our trauma-informed evening program includes 12 hours of weekly on-site care. Treatment is led by licensed clinicians in collaboration with our Chief Medical Officer to ensure personalized and comprehensive support.

Outpatient Program (OP)

Our outpatient program is a step down from IOP. It includes fewer hours but maintains key weekly touchpoints like individual therapy, group therapy, medication management, and family support. This option is best for clients who are ready for more independence while staying connected to care.

Admissions Process

Admissions Process

Our team is largely home-grown, and most of us bring lived experience, giving us a deep understanding of the urgency that comes when someone is ready to seek help. From the first call, you are treated as a client in our care, and we begin supporting you immediately through a consultative, coaching-informed approach. We listen, assess, and help guide you toward the appropriate support—whether with us or an outside provider. While we move quickly, our admissions process is also thorough, with our team serving as your advocate and care coordinator every step of the way.

Clinical Programs

Our program offers a full continuum of clinical care, including individual and group therapy, evaluation, and medication management at every level.

Transitional Living & Concierge Recovery Services

We provide concierge-level recovery services tailored to each individual and family, meeting clients where they are and guiding them through every stage of the recovery process.

Insurance - Clinical Programs Only

We Accept Most Major Insurance Companies

For Our Clinical Services Depending on Program and Location

We accept most major insurance companies for our clinical services, depending on program and location. Our Admissions team will verify your out-of-network insurance benefits to determine coverage, maximize your benefits, and ensure the process is as smooth as possible. Once eligibility is confirmed, they will guide you through the process by conducting a screening, assessing the appropriate level of care, and recommending the best course of action. The price will vary based on Individual’s Out of Network Insurance Benefits. Many plans include out-of-network benefits, which may cover all or part of treatment costs. Our team will help you navigate your coverage and maximize your benefits, making the process as smooth as possible.

*Please note that our transitional living program nationwide is not covered by insurance and requires private pay.

Case Management

Every plan is built around the unique needs, goals, and lifestyle of each client. Our Admissions Team works closely with clients and their families to develop a personalized Case Management plan that provides the right balance of structure, accountability, and flexibility — whether that means daily check-ins, weekly meetings, or a customized combination of support services. Each client is paired with a dedicated Case Manager who provides ongoing guidance, coordination, and compassionate support while helping navigate real-world challenges such as relapse prevention, legal matters, employment, and education.
